Run For A Child’s Hunger – The NWA Labor Day Run!

Care Community Center is pleased to bring you Run For A Child’s Hunger again this year as we continue to eliminate child hunger in Northwest Arkansas. 1 in 4 children face food insecurity on a daily basis. This is a serious issue that is right in our backyard and these children need our help.


Run For A Child’s Hunger is celebrating 13 years of running strong fighting childhood hunger. The 10K and 5K courses are fast, mostly flat certified courses that ends with a challenge with great shade and excellent traffic control. There is also a 1 Mile CAREacter Fun Walk so you can dress up as your favorite character and come walk while fighting child hunger. The experienced team of organizers are ready to this the best year yet and to provide you with a fun filled weekend that you will not forget. So come join us on September 5th at Pinnacle Hills Promenade Mall to help us fight childhood hunger and have an amazing time. We hope to see you there!

REGISTRATION POLICIES:

  1. There will be NO refunds for 2016 race.
  2. Entries are non transferable.
  3. Participants must present a photo ID and sign a release-form-liability waiver at check-in. (Anyone under 18 years old will need their parent or guardian.)
  4. Race Management reserves the right to cancel or modify the event due to unfavorable conditions.

Packet Pickup

Save time the morning of the event by picking up your packet early!

When: September 4th from noon to 5:00 pm
Where: Pinnacle Hills Promenade Food Court

Packet pickup includes your goody bag, tech shirt, race bib, and timing chip. We also have the ability to register for those that have yet to sign up.

Note: Packets not picked up by 8:15am Monday, September 5th will be considered forfeited. Race directors nor CARE will be responsible for holding packets for pickup beyond race start.

Pre-Race Day Pasta Dinner:

Come load up on carbs before the race or have a fun night our with the family by joining us for dinner, live music, and entertainment!

Other Activities

FREE Family FunZone!

Near the finish line of the 5K and 10k races will be a FREE Family FunZone for children 12 years old and under.
The Family FunZone will be open from 7:00am-10:00am on event day and will be filled with fun, free activities, and inflatables!


FREE Breakfast for ALL!

Runner or not, come join us for Free breakfast following the race. Everyone is welcome. First come, first serve.

NOTES:

1. The acceptance of prize money will affect an athlete’s amateur status.
2. Prize money will be handed our on the day of the race.
3. Awards not picked up on Race Day morning are considered forfeited.
